1. What inspired you to embark on a creative journey despite lacking prior experience in the art field?
I had always been an avid art lover. I would always find myself picking up children's picture books or comic books instead of a novel and lose track of time admiring the artwork. I love how the pictures can communicate more than the text. I wished to create scenes as beautiful as those that sparked my interest. When I had the chance to venture into the digital art field, it was a dream come true. Lacking experience wasn't a setback, rather starting a clean state allowed me to approach the program without preconceived notions.

2. Did your daily routine undergo a transformation upon entering the creative field, particularly during the program?
Before I joined the artpreneur program, my daily routine had already transformed from routine drastically due to Covid. The transformation curve was huge in terms of time management. Creative endeavors often require dedicated time for practice, experimentation and I had to learn and work for more than 9 hrs every day in addition to my household chores. I had to prioritize learning over personal life. To run alongside and to make the most of such a fast paced course wouldn't have been possible without the sacrifices and support from my husband and son.

3. How did you navigate and maintain equilibrium during these changes?
The eagerness to learn and the excitement to see my thoughts transform into a visual was the main drive to navigate all challenges during and after the course. It was definitely hard in the beginning, to get used to the process, but realizing how fast I could learn concepts, ideate and work on challenges to deliver my best by following the process, I was motivated to work through the rest of the course that was incrementally challenging and intense. Having a community of like minded learners work towards the same goal was motivating. Now I'm able to appreciate all the best practices taught during the course that help me approach any project professionally.

4. What do you do currently?
I work for freelancing projects under the label Pixel Trove Studio.
I`m thankful to have the opportunity to work on unique and interesting projects that lets me enjoy, explore and learn while creating art. I feel so happy and accomplished as I work on projects from start to end. The joy is multiplied in infinite folds when I see my work on physical products ranging from postcards to printed books and framed artworks to larger than life banners. I am mostly recognized and approached for personalized invitations and caricatures currently, although I have worked on diverse projects like creating characters, branding illustrations, logos, educational products and journals.

5. What aspirations do you have for yourself in this field, and where do you envision yourself five years from now?
I want my artworks to connect with people and have a positive impact on them. I look forward to opportunities that challenge my creativity and let me create conceptual art. I wish to be part of future projects that require me to create more learning materials, especially picture books that children would love to seek and gain knowledge from. I aspire to become more versatile, exploring various mediums and techniques. I would like to continually grow and reach greater professional heights every growing year.

6. In what ways have the insights gained from the program played a role in shaping both your personal and professional self?
The program is a complete package that offers everything an aspiring artist would need to take up art as a career. I gained much more than what I expected to learn while enrolling for this course. Within a year, I went from someone who had no experience with digital art to ideating and creating full scene illustrations digitally and completing 3 children's books during my portfolio. For such transformation, I gained not just knowledge on the softwares but also artforms, human anatomy, business, best practices and professional skills by observing various approaches of the educators.

7. Considering the program's completion, how confident are you in undertaking solo projects, and could you elaborate on the nature of projects that you take up?
Having Gained strong hands-on knowledge on the tools and the art forms, I'm extremely confident to take on any project. Requirements for projects were never the same and each project demands a different approach. I have worked on projects both individually and in collaboration with other artists. With such varied experiences comes greater learning that shapes me for the better with completion of every single project.

8. How did the guidance from educators and mentor influence the course of your artistic progress?
The best part of this program is the high level approach to any requirement/project with tailored guidance rather than handheld tutoring. The structure of the course pushes us to challenge ourselves and deliver the best while independently working and learning through exploration.
The educators of the program under the tailored guidance of the mentor Mr. SCD Balaji taught us best practices that made us plan, manage time, make decisions, execute and aim for perfection. This course is designed to make us experience a slice of the visual design industry, with the challenges and responsibilities involved, even as a student.

9. For homemakers aspiring to embrace their creative passions, what insights would you like to share with them?
If you have the passion to make a career in art, go for it! The art and design field is a huge playground and opportunities are endless. By working towards our calling with dedication and commitment, we can hone our art styles and skillset to suit and etch our own way through the industry delivering what we aim to create. If you are lucky to find a course like the Artpreneur program, you might be able to gain maximum knowledge in the shortest time frame possible to be confident enough to launch your career. Sure, like every industry, this will have its own set of challenges, but if you are determined to push your limits you can achieve the success that you aim for. Each step forward is a victory worth celebrating.

10. In navigating diverse time zones abroad, what approaches did you employ to uphold your commitment to daily sessions?
I live in the PST time zone of the U.S. The online artpreneur classes happened in the IST timezone (8 am to 12 pm time), and that in my timezone would be between 6.30 and 10.30 pm from nov to march and 7.30 and 11.30 pm for the rest of the academic year due to daylight saving time adjustments. My dinners would be done before 6, as there was only a ten minute break during the course. With the rest of my family held up with a busy morning schedule and mine with an evening shift, It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say the family time was non-existent all weekdays for the duration of this course. But even with these challenges, I had 100% attendance, and worked on my assignments every single day and that commitment helped me gain confidence and shape me.
