Atma Studios interviewed Niveditha, an Educator at Artpreneur Program and Founder of Hiranyagarbha Studio, an Engineer who transitioned into a Creative Educator and launching her own business.
Niveditha says "Motherhood is never an obstacle to one's success, and a woman can beautifully manage her profession and family. One such chance to turn my life around was when I made the intuitive decision to join the Artpreneur Program, which led to a lovely journey to where I am now."
1. How did you get to know about the Artpreneur Program?
"When you want something, the entire universe conspires to help you achieve it”. I was desperately searching for a career that I would enjoy doing every moment. That is when a friend of mine told me about the Program. After one conversation with the Mentor Mr. SCD Balaji, I joined the Program.
2. What were you working as, before joining Artpreneur?
I was working as a Software Engineer at Robert Bosch for 5 years. I quit my job after my maternity break since I felt like I didn’t belong there. I wanted to pursue a career where I could set my own work hours and be my own boss.
3. What made you take up this program?
Whenever I wanted to start something on my own, I always had these questions as to where do I start, how do I start and so on. I always felt I needed a Guru who could guide me on the right path.
I found what I was seeking for in this Program.
I found what I was seeking for in this Program.
4. What do you do now? Are you making money after completing the Artpreneur
program?
program?
I am an Educator in the Artpreneur Program. More than Art itself, being an Educator took me to a dimension that I never knew existed. Everyday is a new learning experience for me and the joy of witnessing beings transform from where they began to where they are now is immense. Apart from that, I have my Creative Design Studio, Hiranyagarbha, where I do Illustrations, Illustrative Letterings & Branding. In terms of money, not every Artpreneur joins the Program with the goal of making money, which is a common misconception about the Program. Money is connected to each Artpreneur's funnels and varies depending on their Vision. I do earn as an Educator but I intend to focus on the money funnel only after a few years.
5. Apart from technical aspects what have you learnt from the Artpreneur program?
The whole essence of the Artpreneur Program is the non technical aspect of it. It felt as if I belonged in a completely different world where I was the only competitor. I began concentrating on one task at a time, establishing my own priorities, and planning my schedules while balancing my personal life. More importantly, I learned to gracefully accept my responsibilities and began looking deeper into myself through my journals. I began to concentrate more on what I desired in life, and the opposites eventually drifted away from me.
6. Describe your life before and after the Artpreneur program.
It was more of a self-evolution than a transformation, in my opinion. Because I evolved as a person from constantly spamming my time with social media, allowing circumstances to control my life rather than taking control of it, to now seeing time as the most valuable asset and happily creating art that has an impact.
7. How is your collaboration with educator and mentor?
My Educator, Anish, is the sole reason I was able to complete the Program successfully. He always pushed me to do my best and knew exactly where I needed help. He took on soulful responsibility as a teacher and assisted me in producing professional results. Throughout the program, I was handheld like a baby. He literally made certain that I never deviated from the quality with which I delivered and that I only levelled up myself. He is my greatest inspiration for what a teacher should be, and he inspired me to pursue a career as an educator.
Mentor - What more can be said about the person who sculpted each one of them in the commune with giving nature? The manner in which educators accept responsibility for each student, and the person behind each educator's belief in accepting responsibility, is the man himself. He is my Guru, the driving force behind who I am today. I am falling short of words to express my gratitude for the person he is. It is a blessing that I enrolled in the program, had Anish as my Educator, and Mr. SCD Balaji as my Guru. Joining Artpreneur Program is an absolute point in my life, and I am grateful the Universe for leading me this
space of creators.
8. How did you balance your roles as a homemaker and an Artpreneur during
the program?
the program?
It was a challenging task at first because I was still breastfeeding my two-year old when the Program began. The first few classes were spent with him on my lap, feeding him and attending the sessions. As time passed, my son started giving me the space I required. Children, in my opinion, adapt much faster than adults.
Also, I am grateful to the Program for encouraging me to establish a routine, which served as the foundation for organising myself and making the best use of my time.
9. What is your career aspiration and vision statement?
I aspire to be an Educator who would take responsibility for students & see them beautifully transform through their careers in Art & Design. As an artist I want to inspire the women out there and make an impact in them that would change their lives for better.
10. Would you recommend the Artpreneur program to others? What would you say to people looking to join the Artpreneur program?
Definitely, yes. But only if you are 100% committed to the Program and stand firm for what you want. You are definitely in a responsible space where you not only transform but also evolve through the Process, and your life will take an upward trajectory from the moment you join the Program. Simply put your trust in the Process, your Educator, and your Mentor. Follow the instructions religiously. When I joined the Program, I was not very clear about what exactly I wanted to do. But by the end of the Program, I was certain of the path I needed to take. If I can get to where I am now, I am sure that each of you will learn to
create your own unique paths through this Program.
