1. What led you to discover the Artpreneur Program?
Right from childhood, I always loved reading books and often tell stories as well. Though I was not very good at art, I loved the idea of drawing special moments and gifting it to friends. I paint on glass, bottles, pots and walls as if the world is my canvas. I could recall the days when I tried to recreate Tinkle, Dimdima and daydream about publishing my own works.
Though I was doing well in IT field, I was constantly feeling that my career is not aligned with my goals in life. So I put down my papers and started finding jobs where I can make good use of writing, drawing and storytelling skills which was very hard to find without a proper experience and resume. That was when I decided to enhance my skill and was ready to go to college again.
It was Destiny which led me to discover the Artpreneur program. While I was preparing for entrance examinations, I came across two of my schoolmates who did the program. They gave me a very positive feedback about the program. I went through the website and curriculum. Though it was spontaneous, joining the Artpreneur program is one of the best decisions I have made.

2. What is your career background?
I was working as an IT Analyst in TCS.

3. Would you consider yourself an amateur in art and branding before the program? If yes, how have you evolved throughout?
Yes. I was an amateur in art and branding before joining the program. Though I loved to draw, I mostly recreate what is available already in the internet. I was not aware about any art forms before seeing the curriculum and other Artpreneur’s work. Throughout the program, I not only learnt different artforms but also learnt the art of re-engineering any artform. I thoroughly indulged in the joy of learning and creating art which is the reflection of my own thoughts.
I was truly mind blown when I was introduced to the concept of Branding during the program. The way I started looking at the world has changed after learning Branding. It gave new perspective and possibilities of art and design. The module was vast, informative and created a strong base to become an entrepreneur.

4. What inspired you to take on a role in Artpreneur Program's teaching team?
While I was working, I also volunteered to teach kids on weekends through an NGO where I felt the happiness of sharing my knowledge for the very first time. When I told earlier that I was finding a job, I was checking the openings in education related companies where I could either write content or teach. Fortunately, when I was enquiring about the program with my friend, who was also an artpreneur and educator introduced me to the possibility of becoming an educator after the program. I was thrilled and expressed my interest to mentor and educator during the initial conversations.
During the program, I saw how efficient were all the educators and instructors in turning amateurs to a professionals and I was even more inspired. So after the program, I am pursuing my interest as a co-educator in artpreneur program.

5. Despite having no art background, what inspired you to take the leap of faith and pursue a creative career?
It is indeed true that I have no art background and not even once I thought that I would pursue art as my career but I have always felt comfortable to express and connect through art and articles. It was when I came to know about the program, I realised that painting has always been my favourite thing to do. I am a kind of person who believes that anyone can learn new skills at any age, if they put their heart and mind into it. So I decided to take the leap of faith to pursue a creative career. As I already told, I was seeking for knowledge and purpose while the program sought me.

6. Apart from the technical skills, what is the one takeaway from the Artpreneur Program that has impacted your life?
I cannot really narrow down to just one takeaway from the Artpreneur program. I learnt to track my time every day which was the most important tool that eased my life. It helped me to be disciplined not only throughout the program but also after the program. I was very random and struggled with prioritising both in professional and personal life but now I could follow a schedule and achieve a work life balance.

7. How instrumental were the educator and mentor in shaping your experience in the Artpreneur Program?
My educator Shruti Dixit and my Co-educator Anisha, were the best teachers I could ever ask for. They made sure that I gave my best and helped me so much in the class such that I grow as a professional. They explain every concept patiently and ensure that we understood the same. They individually focused and made us to push our limits slowly to attain great results. I am forever grateful to them, my instructors - Gowshika, Niveditha, Vivek, Anagha and Gargee and all the students in my batch for being a constant support and inspiration.
I owe it all to my mentor, SCD Balaji sir. The orientations and all the sessions with sir was a fuel much needed to travel this artpreneur journey. He has always given clarity to all doubts that I had about my goals and visions. I am so thankful to him for all the support and also for this wonderful and supportive artpreneur commune that I am also a part of now.

8. How has your passion for content writing and publication been reflected after the program?
I had this passion for writing and publishing since I was in school. In college, I started my own blog and wrote few articles for websites as a service. Though I started to write for passion, I was happy to be able to connect with my readers and create impact. So after my program, I focused on creating a portfolio such that I can continue to tell stories and chose to become a book illustrator. I also have just started an illustration studio “Inkahaani studio”, which mainly intends on telling stories through colourful art and illustrations.

9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I aspire to publish ten illustrated books creating positive impact on the current generation. As a founder of Inkahaani Studio, I wish to work with diverse clients and will eventually planning to start a merchandise. As an educator, I wanted to share wisdom and be a part of many artpreneur’s journey. As an artpreneur myself, I wanted to seek more wisdom, learn more artforms and create many illustrations.

10. What is your opinion of the Artpreneur Program's claim that anyone can master art through the Program?
If anyone has a strong passion towards art and design, if they are able to commit eight hours per day for a year, I recommend them to definitely take up the Artpreneur program. The program not only teaches the software and the artform, it is a process that when trusted, can see the beautiful transformation of the self both professionally as well as personally.
