1. How did you get to know about Artpreneur Program?
While I was searching for Indian wedding invitations on Google, I came across Quirky Invitations and the works of Mr. SCD Balaji Sir. I was impressed by their freshness and uniqueness, so I searched more about Balaji Sir and that's when I learned about the Artpreneur Program. After looking at the curriculum and the works of alumni, I was confident that this course was right for me, so I enrolled immediately without any hesitation.

2. What were you doing before joining the Program?
Before joining the Program, I worked as an assistant brand manager at Sundaram Home Finance Limited for three years. In that role, I was responsible for branding of all of their 130 branches across India.

3. Why did you join the Artpreneur Program?
I was feeling unsatisfied with my daily routine and was eager to switch to a career in a creative field. However, I was unsure of where to begin. As a working mother, committing four years to a design school was not feasible for me. I researched various short-term design courses, but I was not satisfied with the quality of work they produced.
The Artpreneur Program was precisely what I was looking for: a one-year course with mentorship to build a high-quality portfolio. The skills, knowledge, proficiency, and exposure I gained through this program were far better than other courses that demanded a longer commitment.

4. What were your expectations from the Artpreneur Program?
As a beginner in the industry, I had high expectations for the program. I hoped to master various aspects of the industry, including branding and creating illustrations on my own. I was interested in learning different art styles so that I could become a brand consultant and illustrator, creating unique works that were not available elsewhere on the internet.
I am happy to say that the Artpreneur Program exceeded my expectations. I gained more than I had hoped for and feel confident in my abilities as a brand consultant and illustrator. The skills and knowledge I acquired through the program have given me a competitive edge in the industry, and I am excited to continue growing my career in this field.

5. What did you master in the Artpreneur Program apart from technical aspects?
In addition to learning about tools and software, the program taught me valuable life lessons about prioritizing work and managing my time efficiently to become a successful Artpreneur. The habit of tracking my time with output and journaling has been incredibly helpful in improving my discipline and productivity. These skills have helped me grow both professionally and personally, and I am grateful for the comprehensive education I received through the Artpreneur Program.

6. What are you doing currently?
I am currently running my own design studio, Búho Studios. Within two months of completing the program, I was able to find paid projects independently, including branding, illustrations, and invitations. The Artpreneur Program helped me build a strong portfolio to display on various social media pages and websites, which has been instrumental in securing new clients and growing my business.

7. How independent are you after the Program?
I have become more independent than I expected! To be honest, I was not sure if I would be successful after the program, and I even considered taking a full-time job if I did not do well. However, within the first six months of completing the program, I was able to secure various paid projects and earn back the money I invested in the program. I am now running my own design studio and continuing to grow my business independently.

8. How has Artpreneur Program impacted your life?
The Artpreneur Program has had a significant impact on my life. When I started the course, my family was unsure if I would be able to make a decent living in the creative industry. However, the program was an enriching experience from day one, and every day brought new learnings that helped me grow personally and professionally. Over the course of the year, I could see my own growth, and my family did too.
The program has impacted my life in many beautiful ways:
• I am now making money by following my passion.
• I have saved time on my daily commute to the office, which I can now spend more on my family.
• I have the flexibility to choose the type of projects I want to take up and my working hours.

9. What is your long-term goal?
- As the owner of Búho Studios, my goal is to establish a strong brand identity known for delivering high-quality design work and developing a strong client base.
- As an artist, my aim is to continue improving my skills and expanding my repertoire of illustration styles. I want to experiment with new techniques and become a more versatile brand designer. Inspired by my mentor, Mr. SCD Balaji Sir, I also want to explore various Indian folk art styles and incorporate them into branding projects.

10. How is your collaboration with your mentor and educator?
My collaboration with my mentor and educator was exceptional. Mr.Anish, my educator, was instrumental in guiding me in the right direction and ensuring that I gave my best throughout the course without compromising on the quality of my output. He provided useful tips and guidance while working on my portfolio and even after the course was over. I am forever grateful to him for shaping me as an artist.

Each day, module, and assignment was perfectly planned, ensuring that every moment in the course was utilized to the fullest. Balaji sir was always available to guide us throughout the course, and he even took the time to guide us after the course was over, which surprised me. His guidance was invaluable and helped me immensely throughout my journey.

11. Would you recommend Artpreneur Program to others? What would you say to
them?

100% yes! If you are serious about pursuing a career in design and are willing to step out of your comfort zone to learn something new, then this program is the best choice compared to other options in the market. I would also say that the program requires commitment and dedication, and that it is not a quick fix to becoming a successful artist and entrepreneur. However, if you are willing to put in the effort and work hard, the program can provide you with the necessary skills, knowledge, and support to achieve your goals. So, if you are looking to take your art and design skills to the next level and turn it into a successful career, then I highly recommend the Artpreneur Program.
